In January I installed a GE Smart Timer model 15071. Every time we have a power outage I lose the settings. Now, the switch only turns on if I set it to tiimer and only turns off if I switch it to manual. The LED is blank; reset doesn't help; resetting the circuit breaker does not help.
Do I have a defective switch?

unfortunately you just have a bad LED board again. If it's less than 90 days old it would still be under warranty, but since it's older than that it likely won't be. You might consider putting a surge protector on your breaker box to prevent this from happening if you get a lot of power outages.
