I have a Maytag dryer model MDE9316AYW. It is making a sweaking

Resolved Question:

I have a Maytag dryer model MDE9316AYW. It is making a sweaking noise 85% of the time it sound like metal on metal wear. I have shot wd40 on the nylon roller wheels, it didn't make a difference. This dryer is 9 years old. Other than the noise it works fine.

if it made a difference, then your rollers are definitely the problem. Just replace them, they are fairly easy to replace and the center shaft and bearing on the rollers tend to fail quite a bit. You'll need a thicker oil then WD40 but do be sure to clean the shafts off and grease the new rollers. Below is a link to the rollers you'll want to order and replace.
