Have water dripping through basement ceiling from upstairs

Resolved Question:

Have water dripping through basement ceiling from upstairs bathroom while taking showers, have a cardboard material which I would be able to cut through with a hacksaw, can I do damage if I do this, is it likely I would find the leak which I would be able to repair with some type of sealant, or is better/safer to call a plumber to repair?

be careful cutting through you can do damage and if you hit a water line you will flood the basement, not to mention if you hit an electrical line it could kill you,I would recommend a plumber for this, thanks Bryan
