This worked for me once - might as well try it again ................. KitchenAid

Resolved Question:

This worked for me once - might as well try it again .................

KitchenAid side by side refrigerator freezer. Freezer holding temp - frig not ...... cooling but not down to required temp .......... fan running, coils cleaned (fan blades not cleaned), compressor seems to be running (hot to touch, vibrating slightly) ........... spent last 15 years of career (Mech. Engineer) managing, funding projects for refrigeration in grocery stores (multi-compressor rack systems, roof-mounted condensers) but this is nothing I've had any experience on. My experience out here (as a consumer) is that HVAC folks get rich from what consumers don't know

If the compressor is hot to the touch ..Then you have a sealed system problem..(bad Compressor)...Or a non operating condenser fan motor (fan next to compressor not running)
