dryer wont operate

Resolved Question:

dryer won't operate
stopped on it's own with very small load inside ich was already dry.
when the start switch is pressed the motor 'jumps' slightly like it wants to start but it does not
there is an 'electronic burn' smell inside the top control panel but none of the components seem hot
I have it all access panels off now waiting for reply

Thanks for the question, with it apart like that will the motor still not go ,turn the motor pulley is it free to turn.
