Resolved Question:

help! my kenmore ultra wash quietguard standard dishwasher won't drain! I can't find the manual and can't figure out where the drain is. This dishwasher is only about 6 months old.

Thanks for the question.

Does the motor go but wont drain the water out.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
yes, it sounds like the motor turns on, but nothing happens to drain

Take the bottom panel off you will see a white drain funnel that the drain hose connects to , remove the hose and unscrew the part and clean it out ., get a towel you will get water.

What do you mean by the bottom panel? The floor of the machine? or is there another panel beneath the door? Because there's an inch or so of water in there, it's hard to see the layout of the bottom.

At the very bottom of the d/w take the front panel off and you better bail the water out first before you remove the drain hose.

ok, thanks, XXXXX XXXXX I have taken the panel off, got the drain hose off & drained the water. There was no funnel shaped thing - just an opening into the motor mechanism with what appeared to be housing a plastic paddle type thing - perhaps this spins when it's working? Anyway, I reconnected it, ran a quick rinse cycle, and again it didn't drain... any other ideas?
