Customer Question

we have a jenn-air side by side fridge freezer, recently our ice dispenser has failed to dispense crushed or cubed ice although the inside ice shelf itself is full of cubed ice, we can hear the sound of the crusher working when we press the cabinet door buttons, but no delivery, i have checked that the door crusher is not blocked in any way, do you have any ideas what the problem may be? i have checked the manual which does`nt appear to have a solution for this problem

if when you push the paddles you can hear the auger inside the bucket turning, then there are only a few possibilities. Open the door first and push the paddle. Does the flap open up on the door if you look down through the ice chute on the door? If so then, remove the ice bucket and remove all the ice into another container. Put the bucket under hot water in the sink for a while and make sure all the frost and ice is thawed out. Once the bucket is clear and you can turn the auger by hand (from the back) and it turns freely and is clear, dump the ice back into the container and re-install the ice bucket. It should then dispense ice if the auger is moving when you push the paddle.
