Worlpool dryer. Model LER3624EQ1. Heats fine. when i push the start button it will not start sometimes. just makes the electric groaning sound for 5 sec then nothing. When it does start it runs for about 2 mins then stops. Any guidance?

When it does run does it make a diferent noise than normal?

no it sounds fine until just before it stops, then it makes a quick electic groan (kind of a buzz) and stops. Wont start again for about 5 mins.

When you had the drum out did you spin the motor pulley? Did it spin free?

Yes I vaccumed all the lint off of the motor, spun the pully and it seemed fine, no binding.

What you are discribing is a bad motor. The motor is the hardest repair to do on your dryer. Some times the blower wheel will have to be chisled off also. The unit does not look like a higher end unit it may be better to replace the unit if it is over 8 years old.
