I have a 2 yr old LG LFC25760 french door fridge. The freezer

Resolved Question:

I have a 2 yr old LG LFC25760 french door fridge. The freezer is not cold enough, it's running about 20F. A service tech said it has a "sealed system leak" and while the major parts are still under warranty, his cost estimate for labor was $700 (half what the unit cost new!). Is this bid out of line? Should I just buy a new fridge?

this is high. was this an L.G. warranty tech? or someone you called yourself?

This was one of the local service companies that is authorized by LG.

have you talked to L.G. about this? a usuall labor charge for this is around $300.00-$350.00 at best, XXXXX XXXXX call L.G a put up a fight about this, if they wont help tell them you are going to buy another brand and will never buy L.G. again, thanks Bryan
