The oven keeps going to F-2 and F 3 when we try to start it.

The oven keeps going to F-2 and F 3 when we try to start it. What may be wrong.

The codes are saying that the unit is too hot and/or has as shorted sensor. If you have a meter you can test to see if is the clock or the sensor. (it can tell the sensor is bad but the control may not read it and give the fault code) Remove power from the unit and locate the sensor in the oven. Remove the screws and gently work out the plug. If it is good it will test at 70deg at 1080ohms. If it checks good check the wiring back to the control if all good it will be a bad control. If the plug is burned you can repair it by splicing the wires with ceramic wire nuts. If you do not have a meter most part store can check them.
