my kenmore gas dryer is taking a long time to dry my clothes.

my kenmore gas dryer is taking a long time to dry my clothes. What would cause the unit not to heat .

Hi, are you saying the igniter glows but the gas does not ignite? or are you saying the gas ignites for a short time and then shuts off? Mike

the unit will just glow and then shut down , the gas does not even try to light until it has been off for about 10 minutes

ok there is a flame sensor mounted to the side of the burn tube. Pull the wires off and test it with your ohms meter, should read infinite. If it shows open it is bad. You should replace it. The flame sensor looks like this.
