Resolved Question:

wiring diagram for a 3-prong 220 (European model - Bosch) where 4 electrical wires are present coming from the electrical box. Where do the extra wire(s) go? Note: Receptacle type looks like this: 2 straight horizontal lines/openings at bottom and a solid U shape at top.

I'm sorry, let me clarify. I'm referring to the receptacle in the wall/ the outlet. Not the appliance itself. From the electrical box, there are 4 wires run. But the receptacle I need is only 3 prong. Do I just cap off the unneeded neutral wire? Using ground (green), and hot red/black only? Do you have a wiring diagram for the outlet?
Expert:  Appliance Tech Larry replied 7 years ago.
yes thats all you need to do or tie the two neutral wires together
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Any chance you have a wiring diagram showing that in detail?
Expert:  Appliance Tech Larry replied 7 years ago.
no i'm sorry but i do not ,,, the neutral goes to the L shape term and the red and black goes to the two straight horizontal
