Have a Modern Maid built in Microwave Oven, model BAMM0219,

Resolved Question:

Have a Modern Maid built in Microwave Oven, model BAMM0219, E.C.N. 3
Manufactured June 1990.

The unit stopped working last week. No apparent electrical power, including digital clock. After pulling it out the unit looks in very good shape. All wiring clean and motors tidy. There is a broken fan belt laying on top of the oven. Looks like old spaghetti. The belt spun the rotating black plastic wheel at the top of the oven.

Should I try to fix or just get a new microwave? Have no idea where to locate a fan belt for this unit. What else should be replaced...fuses etc.??

Many thanks,

Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.
Could not find parts for your old unit. Microwaves have come a long way in 19 years. They're much lighter more efficient and less expensive than previously. Perhaps it is time for a new one.
