If a 15 year old refrigertor is turned up to the maximum and the temp only goes down to 40 degreees should it be replaced?

Hi thanks for the question.

Tell me if you feel frost on the freezer wall and if the fan is going in the freezer.

Also when did you clean the back of the fridge.

There is no frost on the freezer. The freezer and refrigerator are both empty - no one currently lives in the apartment.

If the fridge is at 40 deg with nothing in it its ok.

The fridge has nothing to keep cold so it wont get any colder than that.

the fridge is fine.And thats good news.
