I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model #LGR7620LGO. The burner

Resolved Question:

I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model #LGR7620LGO. The burner goes off a 5 minute time period or so. When the door is opened and again shut and the start button pressed, the glow lighter will glow and the burner will not come on. Would the coil on the top of the burner be heating up and stopping the burner from coming on? After a period of time (say twenty minutes or so) the burner will then come on when the process is started again.
Please advise, you help would be appreciated.

Hi thanks for the question.

The problem could be the coil.

Are you watching this happen with the front panel off the dryer ?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
I took the back panel off the back of the dryer and had visual access to the glow lighter and the burner going on. As stated before it appeared once the burner got hot it went off and did not go back on until it cooled off.

That is a coil problem. the coils get hot after a few minutes of use and then wont come back on again till they cool off.

Replace the coils it will fix the problem.
