I have a GE dehumidifier, model AHH40LKG1,. It is now leaking

Resolved Question:

I have a GE dehumidifier, model AHH40LKG1,. It is now leaking water even though the water is also collecting in the bucket and shuttting off when it is full. It is a large amount of water and has happened more than once. Any suggestions, it is not an old one just over a year.

Hi thanks for the question.

Where the water drips in the bucket the spout from under the evaporator, make sure theres no obstruction some water could miss the opening of the bucket and end up on the floor. check that

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I have tried that and it seems to be clear. Any more suggestions?

The only place the water can come from is the evaporator it could be dripping from the coil and missing the collector pan and ending up on the floor.

Do I need to open up the evaporator to see if the coils are OK?
Expert:  John replied 7 years ago.

You can open the back a bit and see if all the water dripping from the coils is going where its suppose to be going
