I have had a whirlpool electric dryer #8535823 for 5 years. In the last
two years it has been making a squeeking or screeching noise while tumbling.
This noise seems to go away, or at least diminishes significantly after tumbling for a few mins.
But it sometimes can be EXTREMELY loud and we are looking to sell the house
and would like this recitified before the first showing. It still dries but the noise
is a concern. Can you help?

This is not the model number, it should have letters in the front, the model number will be located inside the door area of the unit, along with the serial number

Chas,

Sorry about that I was looking at the dryer information sheet.

Here it is LEQ9858LW0

Type DWSR-ELE-2406028-CV54

I would replace 3 parts when doing this, the belt , idler, and pulleys, this is kit number(NNN) NNN-NNNN You can order this part at the following locations online... http://www.apwagner.com/, or http://www.repairclinic.com/, or http://www.partstore.com/. All 3 of these places are a good place to order your parts because of thier liberal return policy....

This will make your dryer run like new again. You can install these parts in less than one hour and only need a nutdriver and screwdiver to install all of them..
