I have a large capacity GE dryer that is about 3 years old. It worked fine until the other day when the drum would not spin unless the button was held in. Would stop when the button was released. My wife said it would heat up while she held the button in but I have not confirmed this part.
can you get me the model #? thanks Bryan

well the most likely cause for this is the motor, Part 275427these have a centrifical switch in them that keep the motor running on the run windings once the dryer starts spinning. this switch is probably bad. unfortunatley you cant buy the switch you have to replace the whole motor, hope this helps, thanks Bryan, heres a link to the motor,
