Resolved Question:

About a month ago I had to replace the compressor relay for my refrigerator. Worked fine, until last night. Half of the stuff in my kitchen wouldn't work, including the fridge. So, I went to the breaker box. It wouldn't trip. So, on the advice of a friend I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it in someplace else. Voila, I could trip the breaker and everything (including the Amana) worked fine. When I got up in the middle of the night the light was on but everything is warm. So sad, I feel like crying.

Well there is definitely a shorted wire or component.
That's causing this.
Don't cry!

These are machines and theses things happen in life.

Try turning the controls to the off position and then unplugging the fridge for five minutes.
( Or if you can not reach the plug turn off the breaker for 5 minutes)
This will reset the system and clear any electronic glitches.
Let me know how it goes.

If this does not do it to do it then unfortunetly you will need to call a hands on tech , on location again
