it comes on just fine-as it tries to fill the water simply is exhausted.

the timer seems to function.......i suspect perhaps there is either a sensor that tells when the tub is full is hung open or the fill level switch is bad.

no matter what wash cycle, it simply exhausts the water and won't fill.

So it does get water and then stops and starts aggitating?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.

gets both hot and cold just fine. water simply blasts in and tries to fill but is immediately being exhauseted (going right into drain/exhaust) never fills........something is "hung open"

it will simply let the water run trying to fill for as long as you want to leave it running...will not fill.

How high is the drain hose?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
maybe 2-3" below the top of the machine-same as it's been for the 5 years the machine has been running....
Lift the hose out of the drain tube and try filling the machine let me know what happens?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.

as in lift it up high? to allow it to back drain??

it will take me about 10 minutes k?

Yes just lift it out hold it above the drain tube and turn the unit on to fill.
