Hi, I have a kitchenaid dishwasher that will not go past the pre heat cycle for normal or pots and pans. m# XXXXX I can get it to rinse and hold, but the normal cycle hangs with the pre heat light. Should I replace the timer?

Yes, when i touch the dishwashers heating coil its not hot.

I am not checking for fault codes. I do not have the equipment.

you need to check with a meter to see if your heating element is good or not but if you dont have a meter i suggest you make a service call
