that means your vent is clogged. Disconnect the hose from the back of your dryer to confirm and it should run fine.

Sometimes the vent going out of your house gets clogged over time or even animals will build nexts blocking the vent. Also, pay attention to the vent behind the dryer before you pull the dryer out and see if it's kinked. The flex vent line being kinked is the most common problem for this issue.

could it be blocked inside the dryer? How do I get to it?

it's possible but not likely unless this has been going on for a very long time and I wouldn't tell you how to get to it without a model number
