You take off the neutral metal ground strap and there's a screw on the other end and a metal plate that it screwed to. Can't you use that same screw whole as a ground?
yes if its grounded to the machine. what is this for a dryer? are you changing from a three wire plug to a four.? let me know Bryan

yes, changing cores..
ok yes you can put the green ground wire on the body where the strap was connected then the white in the center and red on one side and black on the other, hope this helps well wishes Bryan
