why does my wirlpool gas range have orange flames coming out of bottom when on bake

how big are the flames coming out of the burner? 1 inch long 5 inches long?

ok look at the picture bellow and look at number 14 and 15. number 14 is your bake burner--- it connects into number 15 underneath of your oven behind your utility drawer. Where is connects there is a little shutter flap that twists to let more or less oxygen into the gas. You will need to loosen this screw and close the shutter a little more. Orange flames mean that the flame is getting too much oxygen. So if you close the flap more it will let less oxygem into the flame making the flame burn more blue.

To access this shutter, again you will have to remove the bottom utility drawer and in the ver back in the middle you will see the end part of the burner.
