What model? Also, does auger motor work or make any noise at all? Can you turn it by hand?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.

GE Profile - Models 18-25 Owner's Manual. Usual ice making noise. Lever turns by hand. On - down.

Assume aguer is turning ice in bucket then by your reply?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Yes - into the bucket. Not dispensing into the the glass.

If the ice door in the door opens then the plastic propeller-like wheel l at the head of your ice bucket is broken and needs replacing.

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Do you mean inside the bin????? Doesn't appear to be broken and turns easily. The fridge does makes alot of ice and it seems to get jammed.
Expert:  MRANSWER replied 8 years ago.
Yes, the wheel must turn with the auger. No other reason ice would not come out the door from your answers to my questions.

Do I have to get a repairman to fix the problem????
Expert:  MRANSWER replied 8 years ago.
Well, if you take it to an appl part supply they may be nice enough to do it for you. Lots of parts in the head of it and they must all go back in order or you'll have a mess on your hands. Don't fool with it unless you're handy.
