My 82 year old mother-in-law has an LG 42PG25 TV and we are no longer able to adjust the volume from the remote. I tried the instructions listed on the menu (STD key - digits in sequence 9-5-5) but was not able to correct the problem. Can you please help?

Thank you for using Just Answer.

This remote needs to have the UPPER TOP LEFT button pushed for the TV functions to work. The button has the label "TV" on it.

Try pushing that button down for a second or two and then try the volume button.

IF this does not work we will need more information from you.

What is the TV hooked up to? (cable BOX, just cable, antenae, satellite receiver, etc..)

What type of cables are you using for this connection?

Please let me know if you need more information and/or clarification.

Thank you Bernie,

I am at my workplace right now and will try this out on my mother-in-law's tv. I should have provided you with more information. I am not that knowledgeable about the hook up, but do know that it is Fios/verizon

Let me know if you need more information. I will check back tonight and tommorow.
