what is the model? if you have to touch the ice maker to get it to cycle somthing is not telling it to cycle is the the type with the ice bin on the door?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
bin is not in the door its under the ice maker. the large gear on outside of control module has a burnt spot on the contact metal on inside of large gear. when i slightly move large gear it moves a ways then stops. i believe when i move it it repositions so contacts touch.
