We have an Insinkerator in our older vacation condo (circa mid 70s). It probably is the original???? I can't find a manual. We use the condo frequently and the disposal has always worked fine. It would not work at all this hum, no movement, nothing. It is on the same circuit breaker as a light above the sink. The light worked, but not the disposal. Question(finally): Do we need an electrician or a plumber to solve our problem?

HiCustomerdid you try the reset button? around the bottom there is a button that you push if it trips ,then if it hums only, there is a hex nut that you can insert a allen key to unstick by manually turning,if youve done that i would just call an appliance repairman

thanks Randy
