I have a Maytag Atlantis washer, which started squealing like a metal pig during the wash cycle. I'm hoping there's a slipping belt. Do I go in from the front? Bottom (ugh--full of wash water). How?

can you give me model # XXXXX belt is probably underneath machine. there could be something in the pump on this also.let me know model # XXXXX

ok you have a single belt in this and its under machine if you tip it back. you will have to empty machine.take belt off and check , also while you have belt off turn your pump by hand amnd make sure it turns easy. heres a diagram of machine. hope this helps . thanks Bryan
