The machine is in my home in Arizona and I am in NY, I’m not hundred % sure, but I think it is GE, the washer with dryer unit above. It is quite old – approximately 12-15 years.

ok thats what I thought it might be. theses g.e. washers get a glog sometimes in the tube that runs to your water level control causing machine to think its not full and keeps putting water in . when you drained machine sometimes this dislodges blockage but it can happen again at any need to clear this line .you will have to take front off if its the type you can and lift top to do this, we can go over this tomorrow I need to step out and check on my mom. thanks Bryan
