Resolved Question:

I have a Kenmore Wall unit (2yrs old) that is retaining water. It is not draining on the outside of the air conditioner. It did up till recently. I opened the front of it and water was sitting in front.

Most newer units don't drain unless there is excessif humidity
They evaporate the water out of themselves

Reply to Glenn's Post: Glen,

Appreciate your quick response. I understand how it would evaporate, however it did drain on the outside previously. It has at times, from getting to much moisture, dripped on the inside. It was professionally installed. Again, it did initially drip on the outside?

You can pull the unit out of it's can and check for a blockage of the drain

Where is the drain plug located? Any chance of cleaning it w/out pulling the unit out?

A Big Thank you!

You don't have to pull it out of the window just the unit out of the can

The drain is on the rear of the unit

Is the unit tilted to the rear a little ??
