Customer Question

Samsung rb2155sh refrigerator (top) doesn't cool - the compartment fan checks OK with external 120 AC applied, but doesn't run from the control unit.
Refrigerator light is off and the control unit beeps continuously.

The evaporator coil in the top (refrigerator)is cooling, but, of course, the fan is not blowing air across it and it ices up.

Bottom freezer works fine

Hi, Thank you for using justanswer for your appliance questions!

First thing to do is unplug the fridge for at least 10 minutes to see if the control needs rebooted. Is sounds like the control has failed. These controls are fairly inexpensive around 59.00. Part # XXXXX The control is located on the back of the fridge.
BE SURE to UNPLUG this unit before servicing.

Hope this helps!

Replacing the ECU DA-4100128D, is the first obvious thing I did to try to resolve the problem, which did not fix the problem and cost me almost $65.
