there are several different agitators for admiral washers usualy if its a two piece agitator alot of times it the pieces of the agitator rubbing together , I've seen this alot in maytag washers and realy isnt much you can do about it. I talked with a few of my techs about it and they dont think it does any damage to machine but is annoying. if I find anything else I'll let you know. thanks Bryan

agitator only makes noise under a heavy load, not so under a light load.the noise is very loud and annoying..please let me know if you have any other advice Thanks..

okay are you sure its the agitator ? could it may be the belt ? sometimes a worn belt will make a chirping sound. that might be your problem , I would check the belt. thanks Bryan
