removing an ice maker

This answer was rated:

It just stopped making ice cubes so I want to take it out but don''t know if I should start with the water valve or how I stop the water from coming in if it is. I just want to rip it out but I don''t know where to start.

You don't need to remove the water valve - water only enters icemaker when the icemaker energizes the valve at the end of its harvest and you will kill this circuit when you unplug the icemaker connector Just remove the screws holding it to the wall and unplug it Thanks for using justanswer.
