how to hook up a gas dryer. i have an existing one right now and the renta center place does not remove the old dryer unless it is unhooked.unsure about how to turn off the gas line and hooking up the new dryer.need help

If the gas line behind the dryer was installed correct there should be a valve there to shut gas off, the connections are usualy a flared fitting so all You should need is 2 pipe wrenches one to stabalize the pipe either in the dryer or the pipe from the house while You use the other to loosen the nut on the flex line.
