I have a washer (model MAV2755AWW). While it is agitating, it make a noise like rubber scraping on metal. There are two drums - an outer one and an inner one - the noise is when the inner durn moves with the agitator. Should it be moving? If not how do I stop it?

The brake is slipping the basket should not move more than an inch or two at the most while it is agitating.

This repair can be tricky and does require a special brake tool>

Thanks for the info. I think Ill have a repair person do the actual work. I don't have the tools and for the $125 just to get going, I think I'll be better off in the long run. Your assistance was very helpful. Thanks again.

Glad I could at least be informative.

Maybe next time We can fix it?

Good luck
