I have a Troy-Bilt TB425CS 4-cycle gas trimmer. Bump knob wouldn''t come off so I utilized speed wind feature but then the line when I ran the trimmer the line would continually advance. Finally got bump knob off and with bump knob removed I see one of the necessary springs that go under the metal slide "thingy" is missing. I have the replacement spring but can''t figure how to get it in there. Anybody know the answer?

I think we are on the right track. I think part 34 is the "thingy" I have to get the spring under (It's hard to see it clearly even at full view)

I don't know how to get parts 37-34 off and don't want to break it.

Key item 38 is a c-clip pop this off with a screw driver, then the pieces will slide off spline.
