PLGF389ACA gas oven will occasionaly make a big noise when turned on bake, will not ignite and u can smell gas. Turn the unit off for a few minutes and start it again and it will work for a few weeks and it will repeat.

most likely a weak oven igniter -- as they age increase in resistance and the voltage to oven valve decreases making it slow to open, also make sure the oven burner is clean and no abstructions in the openings

assuming what you're calling a mixing valve is the burner valve it is wired in series with the ignitor . like i said replace the ignitor as these are what increase in resistance with age ( ELECTRICALLY SPEAKING ) and cause the valve to open too slowly
