This cap is officially known as the Ridgeway cap but often called a patrol cap and also the Castro Cap. This is basically a modification of the M-1951 cap. The M-1951 was softer wool and eventually transitioned to a stiffer version known as the Jump Up and then was further modified into the iconic Ridgeway cap. These caps were used by the US Army in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. This looks like a later production during the Vietnam Era. The overall condition and vibrant color lead me to believe it is not a Korean War version. Additionally, the Korean War versions were usually manufactured by Louisville caps (they made a lot of valuable sports hats too) and the tag would likely be made of cloth.

These Ridgeway caps are rather common and many were sold at Army surplus stores, but this one appears to be in excellent condition. Typically a Vietnam Era (made in USA) US Army Ridgeway cap in this condition resells for $20-$40. If there was any information inside the hat that would give provenance to the original owner or if the cap was actually in Korea or Vietnam, the value would be much higher.

That's one of the older Ridgeway caps. The lining isn't leather and it shows the wear that would be more inclined to say that is a late Korean War version. Again, the caps are common. The item appears to be in good condition with signs of wear and fading. Typically in this condition the cap would likely resell for $15-$30. If it had writing or even rank designation the value would increase. People love formulating backstories for these items.
