Bonhams is known as a very reputable auction house, so the chance of a replica having been passed off as genuine by them is very remote. You should have received documentation proving the provenance when you purchased the fossil. At this point, if you are concerned about it being real, the best thing for you to do is to contact a natural history museum in your area, if possible, and have a paleontology curator examine the object. From what I can see in the photo, it appears to be genuine and not a resin or plaster cast. My field is objects conservation, specializing in archaeology and I have also worked with paleontogists on preparation and treatment of fossils, and I have made replicas of fossils and sub-fossils.
