I have a new...

I have a new Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica, Large 10", 5 Qt. Oval Soup Tureen. It was purchased from Tiffany & Co. 30 years ago without the lid. At that time the bowl without lid was DKK 54.000 or $10,619 USD. As you may know the lid is still available directly from Royal Copenhagen. I have photos of this beautiful piece should you be interested.

The photo sent is not from a book! It is a marketing piece that I put together years ago. The photos in the piece are of the actual tureen! The tureen is actually in safe storage now and is not immediately available.

Thank you for sharing this. This is a piece that is custom-made from the Royal Copenhagen. The value of your piece without the lid is $22,500.00 A piece today is custom ordered from Royal Copenhagen with the lid and the size is 5 1/2 QT.

To sell a piece such as this, I would suggest taking actual photos of the tureen, you will need all four sides and bottom.

To get a lid would be possible but also know that it would be hard to do as these are hand painted and the artist to do the job would need to try and match the lid to the piece and that is up to the person doing the work. No two pieces are ever alike because of the fact each is done by an artist.

You have a beautiful piece. Contact the auction houses requesting a free auction estimate and attack all your photos, list measurement and all information of the background where it came from and how you obtained the piece. They take all of this and determine whether they will handle the sale and what they feel it would bring, and then what their fees are.
