Customer Question
I have a 'rug'...

I have a 'rug' that I honestly don't know anything about. It was given to my greatgrandfather in the late 1800's as a barter for a dept. My grandfather is noted in the Chicago Stock Exchange as the 1st American to bring Herford Cattle to the US. He was a physician in the 1800's. As far as I know, it is not wool rather silk. It is in perfect condition and stored in my CLOSET!

Expert's Assistant: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
