Hi Robert
A second bull. This one is slightly smaller being 9 inches long and 5.25 inches tall again distinctive colouration. Again few marks just an impressed mark under the glaze which to me looks like a snake or a Dollar sign $. This also looks quality and I would appreciate your opinion please.
Kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris,

You've stumped the chump with this second bull, I'm afraid. I've found no record of this "IS" monogramme, mark.

Looking at the style and pose, it's mid-20th century in date but as to who, it's impossible to narrow down. Italy? Spain? Scandinavia? Even England going by the potter's mark.

He's a distinctive and decorative looking fellow with his blue and brown spirals, or should that be 'bull's eyes'?

If I find anything else, I let you know.

Best wishes,
Robert.
