Stoneware bottles sourced from deserted site Maranboy Tin mine in early 1950. Thought to be used by Chinese miners, contained gin.. Stand 18cm,coloured brown to sand
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Tell us what else you do know and the Antiques Appraiser will be able to better assist you.
Customer: Re gin bottles. Live in the country, visit Sydney occasionally so appraiser not readily available. Found these when exploring mine workings in 1952. They were buried in pile of dirt beside an old shaft.
