We have a Hampden Antique pocket watch with a serial #411429

Customer Question

Hi Pearl, we have a Hampden Antique pocket watch with a serial #411429 and were wondering what the value would be.
JA: Don't you just love the idea of finding something valuable in your attic? I do, but I think all I have up there is junk my brothers abandoned before they left home. Always a good idea to check things with the Antiques Appraiser, though. Tell us what else you do know and the Antiques Appraiser will be able to better assist you.
Customer: did you get my question
JA: Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: what else would you need to know

This is an 1886 gold-filled (not gold) Hampden size 18s hunter case pocket

watch with a Springfield grade model 2, 7-jewel movement.

This watch is worth $200 to $250 in good condition.
