Customer Question

I have an old upright piano from Monarch piano company of Chicago, Illinois. I have no idea how old it is. It is not in very good shape. Just wondering if it might be worth anything. It is extremely heavy and in a basement.

So far I don't have them, but I'll keep an eye out.

Did you ever get the photos? Could you determine any kind of a price for the piano off the numbers?
Expert:  AppraiserJM replied 7 months ago.

No, I didn't. And the numbers aren't specific to style.

I can tell you that any older upright, in fair to poor condition, won't be worth more than $500 unless it has truly exceptional carving/style to the case. And it would cost more than that, to move it out of the basement.
