I have inherited a Chinese 6 panel screen. Each is 6 feet

Customer Question

I have inherited a Chinese 6 panel screen. Each is 6 feet high and about 1 foot wide. Inlaid in ivory jade and other stones I don't yet know, all creating characters telling a story across the panels. It is black lacquer (which has been somewhat mal treated) trimmed in gold leaf and the back of each panel is also decorated with a design in gold leaf. It is beautiful. It is old. Other than the black background not being shinning, the panels are in perfect condition.
I have no idea of any value it may have . I have no place for it but I want to be sure it is handled correctly as it belonged to a very special dear person.
Where do I begin? Margaret Foley. Naples Florida. Thank you

Are you wanting the current market value for this? In order to sell it?
