I have a painting by Mil Lubroth, which I purchased from her

Customer Question

I have a painting by Mil Lubroth, which I purchased from her in Madrid in 1973/4. I would like to sell it,where do I start
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Tell us what else you do know and the Antiques Appraiser will be able to better assist you.
Customer: Well, I knew Mil Lubroth when she was teaching art at the Military High school in the 1970s and I purchased one of her paintings. It is a single carousel painting, framed and signed
JA: Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: I don't know--I can take a photo of the painting.

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques and art collector as well as dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.

Photos are almost always required to give an accurate assessment.

Can you send me at least one photo?

Please send size not including the frame. Please do not remove from the frame.

What is the medium.....oils, watercolors, etc.?

To send photos you may use the "add files" in the blue box link on your reply page or the "paper clip" found in the toolbar you see on your reply page.
Please do not send in ZIP format. The jpg or jpeg format works best.

An explanation of this method can be found here:

Kind regards,

Doris--Will do--have been on a mission to repair a broken (front !) tooth.
Will a photo from my phone do? Bear with me as I am not hugely computer savvy. The picture is hanging on my guest room wall, safe and sound. It looks like oils on canvas to me, but similar to her usual medium.
Regards, Frances.

I am sorry you had dental problems!

Yes, you should be able to send from your phone. The easiest way to do this is to send the photos to your own email address. Then go to your computer or laptop and save the photos that show up in your email.

Then you can add these photo files to your response here.

Kind regards,
