Customer Question

I have a cast iron plaque about 6" wide and 28" long. The frame has a cut-out of a tree, giraffe, monkey on back of lion, zebra, elephant and tree. There are 3 screw hole flanges on the top and bottom and one on each side. Can you identify this item? or its use?

There is only a capital S on the back behind the elephant. It is about 3/8" tall and appears to be italic.

I cannot tell you who made it or where it was made. But, it appears to be from the early part of the 20thC, it would have been used most likely in a Zoo. It would have been attached to a gate or wall. I can value this for you if you wish?
