Hi Roy,

You will first want to put together a written inventory list of what you have, that would be the most efficient way to start. If you feel you want an appraiser to do that, you would hire one at an average rate of $150/hour to come in and catalogue then research the collection for you. Who you hire depends on your location; you can find an appraiser in your area by contacting one of the 3 accredited appraiser groups and their "find an appraiser" search on their sites:
